I recently met a woman that motivated me in a way that I had not previously experienced. The year in which I spent getting to know this woman changed me in an interesting way. Without knowing it, she began to alter my perspective on life. She influenced my disposition. And she moved me to try new things. Her strength and her passion were like a tap on my shoulder, reminding me that there is so much in this world to love and enjoy. And so, in an indirect way she inspired me to start writing again. I always enjoyed writing, though I never allowed much time for it. As part of my new beginning, I hope to tap into my passion for writing while reaching out to families with young children.
I have the pleasure of working with families raising young children. I spend my days talking about potty training, sleep training, good eating habits, discipline and everything else related to early childhood. I have found that there are so many stories to tell, wonderful ways to teach about the “trials and tribulations” of parenting. And so, these anecdotal stories (not all about me or my family) are written as an extension of our class discussions, but are meant to bring occasional humor to the delights of being a parent. Maybe my stories will make you giggle, maybe they will bring a smile to your face, and maybe they will even prompt a discussion. Either way, I hope you enjoy reading them and will share your thoughts with me. As for my inspiration, I thank her from afar for leading me down this new path.
